Moisture Monitoring Systems
Model 800 - Moisture Meter
As the cotton begins in the ginning process, a series of sensors,
located in the feed control hoppers, accurately registers the moisture
content of the oncoming cotton and displays this information on an easy
to read 6" dial. Then after the cotton has been processed
through the
drying system, two sensors located in the conveyor distributor hopper
displays the moisture content of the cotton prior to ginning on the
other 6" dial. The gin operator adjusts manually the heater
controls to maintain the desired moisture content for quality ginning.
Model 810 - Fuel Miser
The part of the Fuel-Miser that makes dollars and sense is its
ability to automatically control the amount of heat that is applied to
the cotton. When the moisture content of the cotton is measured in
feed control hopper, the sensors
that measure the moisture content also regulate the amount of heat that
is then applied to the cotton. If the cotton is very wet, more
heat is applied, If it is very dry, then little or no heat is
applied. The result is better quality cotton (because it is not
over dried) and a considerable savings in fuel since you are not drying
"already dried" cotton.
Model 820 - Flo-Tron
When cotton moisture varies considerably from on load to another, or
wet spots in a module or trailer, you know the problems it can cause.
Over drying on some cotton and under drying on others. Poor cotton
samples cause costly
slowdowns. Even with automatic heat control, often high moisture
cotton gets through the dryer before the heat is high enough to dry it
properly. Then, drier cotton begins to come through while heat is
still high. Flo-tron measures the amount of moisture in the
incoming seed cotton, and transmits the percentage figure to a dial
mounted in the control cabinet. The SCR control regulates the feed
rollers that allows cotton to pass through the automatic feed control to
the dryer at the optimum rate for correct drying.
WR7500 (Portable Moisture Meter)
Compact all solid state instrument. Fast and easy to use. Measures
the moisture content of lint or seed cotton by the electrical
conductivity method. Indicates the moisture content of the fibers.

Optional probes sold separately.
